Danfoss, a global leader in Power Electronics, HVAC/R and Water has an opening in the United States for a Product Support Engineer. This position provides mechanical and electrical engineering support services for products that have been released to Production for manufacturing. The Product Support Engineer will work in the Milwaukee, WI facility.
Job Description
The Product Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining accurate Bills of Material; addressing issues and correcting problems with product form, fit, and function; coordinating resources between manufacturing and panel design group for product support projects; and providing technical, logistical and business system support to internal customers.
Qualifications and Work Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years experience in product development support, manufacturing engineering, or engineering document control and business systems
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Experience with 3rd party certifications, preferably UL508A
- SAP (or equivalent MRP system) proficiency
- Auto-Cad proficiency
- Multi-level Bill of Material understanding
- Experience with electro-mechanical components and Industrial Control Panel design
- Lean Manufacturing understanding, including functional Root Cause Problem Solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Well organized in setting priorities and planning work schedules
- Able to handle multiple tasks and be detail oriented
- Able to cooperatively interact with peers and subordinates
