Global Key Account Manager - Heat Exchangers

With the strategy to focus on Danfoss Heat Exchanger core businesses and drive for a leading position within the global HVAC/R market, we are currently looking for a Global Key Account Manager, to further significantly increase sales and market share via a leading international account in the HVAC/R market. This position is a part of the Danfoss RC Heat Exchanger, Sales and marketing team. We are a young team with high ambitions for growth. We are presently holding two products lines, the Micro Plate (MPHE) and the Micro Channel (MCHE) heat exchangers, where we are offering cutting edge technologies.

The job of the Global Key Account Manager goes from strategic to operational level. It requires direct communication with and involvement of all levels of Danfoss HEX organization globally. The GKAM should have the ability to work within a matrix management organization via practical leadership skills and indirect management of engaged personnel toward the Key Account. It also requires a level of cross divisional cooperation within Danfoss to fully realize the business plan objectives.

The position reports to the Senior Director Global Sales and Marketing.

Critical Tasks/Responsibilities

The main objective, role and responsibility of the Global Key Account Manager:
  • Develop, maintain and drive a global customer development plan/Customer strategy
  • Develop in-depth customer understanding and align strategy to customer business needs
  • Identify & map customer needs and align with Danfoss HEX product road map to secure business/project opportunities.
  • Manage and present business case for projects and opportunities
  • Develop relations across the different customer functions from top to bottom.
  • Develop key account into a true business partnership relationship, through customer integration.
  • Manage implementation of long term agreements.
  • Secure results in line with key account business plan, driving growth and sustainable profitability.
  • Work cross functionally within Danfoss HEX and other product lines to drive a global key account team assigned to the customer to embed sustainable success. Cross functional teams will involve staff from Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales staff from around the world
  • Coordination of Customer global Network
  • Coordination with Danfoss regional/local sales.
  • Coordination and Project Management of Cross functional teams
  • Coordinate awareness of competition strategies, products and activities.
  • Facilitates and coordinate claim management.
Required Basic Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor in engineering with commercial experience/education
  • International business experience and roles
  • 8-10 years technical sales experience within B2B, component sales to the HVAC/R industry including Sales/Account Management/development
  • Customers business environment experience
  • Demonstrable Business development record
