Manager & ITS Support

Required qualification and experience:
Relevant 3 year Degree/Diploma, with Supervisory skills and must have experience in Supporting Telecommunication Assurance Systems.

The incumbent will be responsible to manage and control IT projects, as well as systems. The main functions will be project and system maintenance planning, team or project leading, management/control communication, budget management, quality management and change control for the complete project/system.

Special requirement:
Must be prepared to work irregular hours.

The candidate should have basic supervisory experience in the IT Support field. Candidates will be expected to provide technical leadership to a group of Professionals. Leadership capability is therefore a requirement.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability
  • evaluate vendor proposals, to aid assessments regarding in-house verses the outsourcing of technical development efforts
  • interact with senior and customer personnel on significant matters requiring coordination between organisations
  • provide support for systems engineering processes including requirements work packages, technical performance measurements, risk mitigation plans and configuration management processes
  • review and evaluate the capabilities of existing systems
Experience
  • Experience in System Support methodologies
  • Experience in Supervising a technical team
Knowledge
  • fixed-line, wireless, satellite and cellular technologies
  • the global telecommunications industry
  • the information technology industry
