Integration Specialist

Required experience:

• Experience in the implementation and production support of enterprise integration brokers or middleware.
• Experience in Java and J2EE/JEE development.

The incumbent will play a key role in the integration of Telkom's software systems. This is a mid-level technical position within the integration team that requires exceptional technical implementation skills using various middleware tools and technologies, combined with the ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

• communicate effectively with various cross-functional teams, external business partners and independent vendors
• utilize test frameworks to verify functional and non-functional requirements are met
• apply technology and development standards, naming conventions and best practices for all deliverables
• design and implement integration solutions
• analyse business requirements and translate them into tangible system integration requirements
• identify and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency within the team

Experience

• test frameworks that support test-driven development
• web services and related standards, including XML, SOAP, WSDL and WS-*
• implementation and production support of medium to large scale enterprise integration broker or enterprise service bus, using industry-standard midd
• Java and JEE development (Weblogic platform preferred)

Knowledge

• software configuration and change management best practices and tools
• Unified Modelling Language
• Windows and UNIX-like operating systems
