ICS/DCS ENGINEER
Jobs Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaEducation:
- Degree / Diploma in Process Control Engineering, or equivalent with extensive experience.
- Minimum of 10 years working Experience in oil & gas related Engineering and Design.
- Have worked in S.E.A. for at least 5 years. (Preference given to locally based professional).
- Experience in the use of micro-processor control equipment such as MCC systems, SCADA, DCS, ICS, ESD, F & G protection systems.
- Strong computer literacy (especially Process Control Simulation tools) and strong team building skills.
- Responsible to assist the Engineering Manager in handling technical and administrative matters relating to the Distributed Control System (DCS) Control Engineering.
- Organize, supervise, co-ordinate and control sub contractors in order to ascertain that the offshore platforms and modifications are designed, built and operated as per specifications, procedures, cost and schedule, utilizing good and safe industry practices.
- Assist in completing facilities modifications and is involved in the management of change (MOC) system. This includes assisting in DCS Control safety reviews/HAZOPS as necessary for facilities changes and modifications.
- Provide input along with the other Technical Specialists for the development of technical specifications, procedures, and scopes of work for defining modifications, improvements and DCS Control changes to the existing offshore facilities.
- Assist in ensuring that all DCS Control software, engineering drawings and documentation (i.e. Cause & Effects, ICS Panel Termination Drawings, logic diagrams etc) are kept up-to-date for the facilities
- Interact with contractors is required during engineering/technical studies and when modifications are made to the existing facilities.
- Co-ordinate with Production any DCS Control System requirements and organize / supervise the Specialist Vendors where necessary.
