ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

DEPARTMENT : SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT
LOCATION : JAKARTA

PURPOSE OF JOB :

• Plan, lead and coordinate environmental duties to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

DUTIES

1. Deliverables starts from Access stage (geophysical operation, construction, exploration drilling), Appraise, Select, Define, Execute and Abandonment, also the utilization of natural resources and biodiversity.
2. Develop company's and site specific environmental standard, plan, management, and monitoring system.
3. Enforce the SHE requirements, standards and instructions with emphasis on environmental aspects.
4. Incorporate SHE instructions in routine orders and ensure compliance by all personnel at work site.
5. Ensure stakeholder requirements are identified and implemented on the projects (eg Company, community, regulatory and lender requirements)
6. Liaise with government bodies and professional organizations on SHE matters in particular on environmental issues.
7. Periodically monitor construction activities and provide oversight and enforcement of Company’s regulatory and SHE requirements.
8. Ensure compliance with AMDAL and UKL/UPL.
9. Maintain comprehensive record and manage all statutory SHE reporting requirements on environmental aspect in particular.
10. Establish, deliver and improve environmental training system and induction of staff.
11. Establish and facilitate site SHE meetings.
12. Review and endorse EPC Contractor’s site SHE plans.
13. Manage relationship with third party hygiene and waste disposal service provider.
14. Assist the Management in external affairs functions.

REQUIREMENTS

Education :

• Bachelor degree in Environmental studies or Engineering.

Experience :

• Minimum 5 years experience in environmental, preferably including experience in major EPC project with knowledge of geothermal operations associated with environmental aspects and SHE management system.
• Experience in leading a specific project in GHG reduction, biodiversity and design engineering related to waste and other relevant process / equipment.

Skills :

• Good leadership, teamwork and communication skills required. Ability to work under pressure.

Certification :

• Holder of AMDAL certificate and other environmental certificate (GHG Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor).

Others :

• Understand relevant Indonesian and international environmental standards as well as lender's equator principles.
• Familiar with OHSAS 14001 EMS. Proficient in English language both verbal and written.
• MS Office literacy.
• Willing to frequently travel to sites.
