Position Overview and Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all Maintenance activities. Coordinate and manage maintenance, engineering and shutdown related activities. To provide world class leadership, direction and co-ordination to Maintenance activities of the Offshore Organisation and report on performance.
  2. Provide proactive and visible HS&E leadership
  3. Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions
  4. Demonstrate recognition and responsibility for the safety of colleagues and others on the platform
  5. Visible commitment to the risk assessment process
  6. Provide effective support to workforce and apprentices in appropriate safety leadership behaviours
  • Promote and encourage team safety performance through work site visits, participation in Tool Box Talks, CARE tours
  • Liaise with the Onshore Maintenance Co-ordinator to agree priorities
  • Maintain effective communications with all parties involved in the generation, compilation and implementation of all maintenance planning activities
  • Lead role in daily TMAX (WORM) Meeting, work order performance and prioritisation review with Maintenance & Operations teams
  • Accountable for adequate resource scheduling and levelling with core and vendor limitations
  • Ensure critical maintenance activities are accurately reflected in asset plans
  • Monitor and report on progress and effectiveness
  • Ensure the integrated planning process minimises plant downtime and optimises resources to ensure the completion of critical and breakdown maintenance activities
Participate in the AFA process and provide technical and planning expertise to ensure modifications are implemented on time and within budget
  1. Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
  2. Provide leadership and set expectations, coach and mentor all Maintenance team with regards to acceptable attitudes and behaviours. Sharing knowledge and best practices and actively participating in supervisor workshops.
  3. Continually review and appraise all Maintenance team performance and competence and provide feedback to Onshore Maintenance Improvement Lead
  4. Accountable to ensure that all Maintenance individuals adhere fully to job descriptions
  5. Participate / Support all competence schemes including any multi skilled element in accordance with relevant competence framework
  • Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict. Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace
  1. Continually monitor all Operational Excellence / Maintenance related business targets and report where required to onshore Onshore Maintenance Improvement Lead
  2. Participate when required in onshore interviews, disciplinary and improvements etc
  3. Complete relevant annual appraisals in accordance with agreed plan
  4. Responsible for all Maintenance Vendor & Subcontractor activities on the installation including HS&E, Human Resource Management and any employee relation issues.
  5. Carry out work site visits to ensure leadership presence
  6. Ensure platform integrity through compliance with safety critical maintenance strategy and the effective management of breakdowns
Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications:
  • VQ Level 3 Processing Operations – Hydrocarbons or equivalent
  • SMTD or working towards
  • A1 Assessor
  • V1 Verifier
  • Advanced Safety Auditing
  1. Management of Major Emergencies
  2. Talisman ISSOW Area Authority
  3. TMax User
  4. Must have a recognised supervisory qualification or be working towards achieving a qualification which includes HS&E
  5. Oil & Gas experience
Candidate Profile:
  • Must demonstrate exemplary supervisory and leadership skills including HS&E leadership
  • Must be a good communicator at all routine organization levels
  • Must be a team player but have a high degree of self motivation
