Qatar Petroleum (QP), a state-owned corporation established in 1974, is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.

The principal activities of Qatar Petroleum and its subsidiaries and joint ventures cover exploration, drilling and production operations, transport, storage, marketing and sale of crude oil, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, gas-to-liquids, refined products, petrochemicals and fertilizers, and helicopter and financial services.

Qatar Petroleum’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and new projects is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.

Senior IT Technician

Education:

• Technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering / Electronics or equivalent.

Experience & Skills:

1. Minimum of 3 years post-diploma experience in installing and supporting desktop systems in a distributed environment.
2. Industry certification in major IT desktop products.
3. Good communication (oral and written) skills.
4. Proficient in the usage/application of desktop standard diagnostic and testing tools.
5. Able to communicate technical details and instructions in plain, non-technical language.
6. Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.
7. Ability to provide timely and accurate problem resolution to a wide range of complex technical issues.
