Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

Primary Job Function:

• Responsible for financial planning and analysis in support of Commercial Operations Western Europe (EPD).

Core Job Responsibilities:

1. Consolidate financial forecasts (Plan, Update, Long Range Planning, and Latest Best Estimate) and provide comprehensive analytical financial support at Area and Country level.
2. Interact with the various countries and finance management to prepare planning schedules and key monthly management reports, focusing on variance analysis, trends, and key business issues.
3. Provide reliable, timely, and accurate financial information to enable effective decision-making. Apply appropriate logic and financial concepts to solve problems and recommend solutions.
4. Work with a variety of functions and various levels of management to evaluate strategic initiatives and cost saving opportunities.
5. Prepare a wide range of financial services and deliverables, including ad-hoc management reporting, submission of financial schedules to Area and Division, coordination of planning schedules and meetings, as well as month end activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations.

Skills/Experience Requirements

Position Accountability/Scope:

• The person in this position is accountable for the quality and timeliness of financial reports.
• He/she is in contact with the EPD Finance people in the countries as well as other functions in the Division and guarantees good communication with Area.
• Will be in charge of ad-hoc analysis and projects.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience/Training Required:

1. At least two years of experience in a finance position (preferably with one of the bigger audit firms)
2. Excellent analytical skills and attention for details
3. Knowledge: US GAAP/IFRS
4. Very good excel & SAP knowledge, good numerical reasoning
5. Essbase knowledge an advantage
6. English mandatory, additional languages appreciated
