Indoonesia presently has the capacity to supply 1.5 million tonnes and needs to import sugar for both household and industrial consumption. Indonesia's household and industrial consumption. IGN was built with firm understanding that sugar is among the products Indonesia is wealthy of, and the fact that sugar is considered a commodity with social, policy and economic dimensions, which makes it a sigificant contributing factor to the countrys economic growth, and sugar plants provide a lot of job opportunities to Indonesian people. IGN aims to respond and support the goverment effort to become self-sufficient Indonesia sugar industry by 2009, opens 250 job opportunities which helps local economic growth, and to contribute financial beenefits for it's shareholders and sugarcane farmers.
The new PG Cepiring has the capacity to produce 500 ton white sugar per day, with the milling capacity of 2.800 ton sugarcane per day mixed with raw sugar. With 800 hectare of land for sugar plantation to start and the definite plan to expand this holding to 4000 acres throughout Central Java, IGN projects to produce 150.000 ton of quality white sugar from the combination of sugarcane and raw sugar the next harvesting year and is targeted to supply 500.000 tonnes white sugar per year in the future
IGN utilizes innovative farming practises, low cost production methods and marketing leadership to produce some of the highest quality Indonesia sugar.
IGN cares for the environment in which it operates and is committed to a process of continual improvement including performance monitoring and review. The Company has plans to rebuilt the local primary school to provide better standards and facilities for local students and teachers. IGN has also started tree re-planting project for its surrounding areas.
To further anticipate solving pollution problems, the plants has implemented a recycle system that re-use harmful gas produced from it's machineries. This efficiency reduces overall fuel usage and ensures environmental emissions are kept to a minimum. Their equipment have meet the strict standards of emmision controls.
IGN also utilizes the molasses for animal feed additive and other beneficial usages.

Legal requirements are complied with and employees participate in the management of in house safety programmes. Injury free hours are closely monitored and reported to the board.
