The Responsibilities

Web Hosting Administrator at Dell is a position that will be assigned to plan, install, and maintain systems software to ensure an efficient data processing environment, as well as provide technical support to both systems development and data center operations personnel. Sufficient knowledge of computers and computer networks is important in this position, to know how to effectively run a Web server.

This position in conjunction with data processing operations and audit guidelines, develop procedures and standards for operations personnel. In this role, you will assist in evaluating, recommending, acquiring, and installing new software or software upgrades, and ensure compliance to Citigroup Information Technology Management Policies (CITMP) and Standards.

The Web Hosting Administrator participates in deployment of systems software and adapts new products with minimum supervision to the operating environment. This role are also responsible for performing maintenance to keep Web servers up and running, as well as maintaining the security of the computer network databases. Minimum Qualifications

To become a Web Hosting Administrator at Dell, the applicants must possess a Degree or Diploma in engineering and has good knowledge of Unix operating systems lile AIX, Linux or Sun, with thorough admin skills on products like WebSphere Portal or Application Server, Iplanet, Weblogic and IBM http Server. The applicant with 3 until 4 years of experience in above mentioned products will be preferred.

Additionally, the applicants are expected to have good understanding of ITIL processes, sound expertise on problem troubleshooting skills, fluent in communication in English, able to work in shift or rotation, good knowledge of any Web Scripting’s like JYTHON, PERL or WSADMIN, and having good knowledge of Shell Scripting.
