Description of Work
Medical Manager at AstraZeneca is a position that plays a role to provide AZ with an understanding of the local medical community, clinical practice trends, HCP and patient insight and real or perceived gaps in current scientific knowledge and medical treatment. This position will work with HCPs as partners in scientific activities that help advance disease understanding and are consistent with Medical Affairs strategy and objectives.
In this role, you must respond to unsolicited requests for information about unapproved AZ products or unapproved uses of approved products, presenting such information in an objective, well balanced, substantiated manner that is scientific in tone and content, free of promotional messages, truthful, and is not misleading. When you are accepted in this position, you must remain abreast of latest scientific knowledge and developments in defined domains of expertise, including by means of participation in structured AZ training programs.
AstraZeneca Medical Manager will be assigned to conduct therapeutic area and product training for medical sales representatives and other internal customers, such as develops comprehensive induction program, refresher trainings and knowledge assessments. You must be able to identify HCPs with the scientific expertise to collaborate on forward thinking medical projects identified in strategic brand planning.
Qualifications
To be successful as Medical Manager, the candidates must have minimum Bachelor degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Medical related sciences, with at least 3 until 5 years in a similar role in a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company. The applicant with postgraduate degree would be an advantage. This position required someone who has a communication skills, oral and written, presentation skills, and planning and organization.
Additionally, the candidates are expected to have skills in planning and organization, works collaboratively, strong interpersonal relationship, ability to learn and capacity for scientific concepts and knowledge, and high sense of urgency and commitment to excellence.
