Position Summary:

As a Life Insurance/Financial Services Product Specialist, you will work with new and existing Farmers Insurance agents to help them improve their Farmers New World Life and Farmers Financial Services (FFS) product knowledge and sales skills. You will use the skills and knowledge you have gained to coach agents on their journey to becoming successful business owners through building and improving their overall life insurance and Financial Services product awareness and understanding. You will also be responsible to provide product and sales training and support as they work to meet their assigned goals.

Position Description:
  1. Assists Office & Agents in all phases of training, selling, and servicing life insurance and Farmers Financial Services (FFS) products.
  2. Help develop business plans designed to improve, meet, and exceed life and FFS sales and production goals and expectations (i.e. sales concepts, marketing programs, presentations, etc.).
  3. Develops life and FFS sales promotions, product and sales training classes/seminars, and product communication pieces.
  4. Utilize available resources to deliver new life and FFS product knowledge & offerings to field agents in a timely manner.
  5. Assists Manager in the development of District life and FFS sales plans.
  6. Facilitate sales and/or product training classes and seminars at individual (Agent), or operation levels (i.e. delivery of compliance approved sales presentations, the development of marketing ideas and cross-sell techniques, joint sales calls).
  7. Develop a schedule and/or set of Agent visit expectations for the specific purpose of achieving life and FFS product sales goals.
  8. Maintain a close relationship and act as liaison to corporate resources in order to deliver quality and compliant support to Agents & Office.
Job Requirements

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Four-year college degree required.
  • Current Property, Casualty, and Life insurance licenses required.
  • Current FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63, and 26 strongly preferred. Licenses will be transferred to FFS if they are with another broker/dealer.
  • LUTCF, CLU, CFP, or ChFC designation(s) preferred.
  • Two+ years life insurance industry experience or as a life internal wholesaler.
  • Two+ years as a financial services wholesaler, financial services product specialist or in the financial services industry
  • Experience in personal production or other life insurance and/or FFS sales positions.
  • Knowledge of mutual funds offered through broker/dealer and compliance issues related to the selling of specialized products.
  • Demonstrated above average capabilities in consultative selling and prescribing products to deliver customer solutions.
  • Ability to bring about great results from ordinary circumstances. Able to prepare for problems or opportunities in advance. Able to undertake additional responsibilities and respond to situations as they arise without supervision.
  • Superior Time Management skills – able to handle multiple tasks and see them to successful completion.
  • The ability to share information in a clear, concise and well-organized manner. Have experience with group presentations and public speaking. Able to effectively facilitate computer based training (i.e. webinars).
