Our energy business has many years of experience supplying a wide variety of power plant and service packages to the worldwide markets. Fundamental to our success is our Customer Service Business (CSB), which is ideally placed to support its customers by striving to increase their efficiency in providing maintenance of their equipment.

The responsibility of our Field Service Engineer is to provide in-country technical support and field service, as required for our Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) contracts. Your key responsibilities are to ensure that activity on-site is carried out in a professional manner to maximise the availability of the equipment.
You will provide a full professional service to the LTSA Project Manager and will ensure minimised downtime by providing fault finding/diagnostic advice to Field Service Engineers and other Technical Support staff within the Company.

You will carry out scheduled maintenance activities and also assist with installation and commissioning new units and carry out upgrades on our existing equipment.

You will be our customer interface for our Energy Customer Service Business and will provide both technical support and a field service role.

Additionally, you may be required to provide technical support outside normal working hours and often at short notice, in response to unscheduled breakdown events in accordance with customer expectations. You may also be required on occasions, to work out of country to support other Rolls-Royce contracts globally.
You will interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics, and have the ability to produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues and/or improve system reliability and availability.

You will be required to work within the company's operating procedures to ensure that the highest quality work standards are maintained and you will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with our customer's and Rolls-Royce's Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.

You will be educated to HNC Controls/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

You will have worked in an Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls discipline and have a working knowledge of gas turbine driven engine packages. Ideally, you will also have knowledge of Rolls-Royce products and applications and some experience of our industrial equipment.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You should be able to interact at all levels, demonstrate initiative, be a flexible self-starter and be able to work with minimum direction and, have the ability to work with a range of people whilst being a team player.
