Bayan Resources is engaged in open cut mining of various coal quality from mines located primarily in East and South Kalimantan. Being an integrated coal producer in Indonesia the Bayan Group through its various mines, produces coal ranging from semi-soft coking coal to environmentally-friendly low sulphur, sub-bituminous coal.

Bayan Resources mine coal using the standard truck-and-shovel open-pit mining method commonly used in Indonesia; however, we are exploring the possibility of other open-mining methods and underground mining, which are not commonly used in Indonesia, in all our current concession areas. Our open-pit mining method consists of eight major steps:

3. overburden removal
4. coal mining
5. coal hauling and processing
6. coal barging
7. transshipment/Coal Terminal loading and
8. environmental and social activities.

Bayan is seeking to employ a number of experienced mining professionals for its coal mining operations in Kalimantan. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record in their respective fields (preferably in coal) with a knowledge of Indonesian language and customs preferred but not essential.
