The principal activities of Qatar Petroleum and its subsidiaries and joint ventures cover exploration, drilling and production operations, transport, storage, marketing and sale of crude oil, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, gas-to-liquids, refined products, petrochemicals and fertilizers, and helicopter and financial services.
Qatar Petroleum’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and new projects is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.

Planning Manager
Education:
- Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
- Membership in a relevant Professional Association is preferable.
- Minimum 15 Years experience required as a Projects Control specialist, with 5 years as a minimum in a supervisory role managing a Project control team during the design and construction phases of major buildings and civil infrastructure projects. Experience should includes activities relating to the budgeting, cost phasing, planning, progress monitoring, reporting forecasting, budgeting, risk management, change management, invoice validation, claim analysis, asset capitalization and project close-out activities.
- Effective leadership/motivation skills and excellent analytical skills. Should be an effective mediator and communicator and be able to analyse, advise and resolve complex problems quickly and effectively.
- High level of computer literacy with expert proficiency in Project Management and Project Control Software including Primavera and MS Project, Critical Path
- Analysis techniques, Risk Analysis software and full Microsoft Office suite. Must possess a proven track record in working effectively as a team leader in multi-cultural and multi disciplinary environments.
