Head - Project Sales

Development and management of the Project Sales Support Office starting from detailed concept and plan, through roll out (in alignment with rest of organisation) to full operation and continuous improvements. The employee will be part of the Power Electronics organisation in Danfoss, and will report to Project Sales Director.
Job description
Key tasks
- Develop perspective for Project Sales Support Office Implementation (hardware, software, tools, resources)
- Ensure the right level of support and interface to factories and relevant departments for the right quality and availability of data
- Attract, hire, retain and assess PSSO employees
- Manage and optimize the work of PSSO (resource allocation, constant improvements, roll out activities)
- Support the PSSO Pilots by tracking all process / tool/ capability related issues and providing feedback and evaluation of pilots
- Other duties as required
- Bring previous best practice experience with and see if it makes sense to implement at Danfoss
- Buy-in from Regional Managers (PSSO Concept)
- Model for Project Sales Support developed
- First (selected) Sales Companies continuously supported by PSSO
- Roll out plan for the regions, with measurable KPI’s
- Cross cultural communication skills across regions, management levels and matrix setup
- Clear communication regarding implication of Project Sales Support Office (impact on DSC’s, pipeline, prioritization of opportunities)
- Ability to make people stay around – strong, staff development oriented leadership style with deep understanding of Indian culture.
- Development and implementation of completely new concept at global scale.
Minimum requirements to educational background
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Masters in Engineering or Business administration a plus
- 10 years of engineering experience with industrial controls and power engineering
- Documented (min 5yrs) experience with project team management (preferably projects in mining, water or chemical industry)
- Familiar with Project bidding process and project documentation
- Experience from working in international companies in Europe or the US, with some years of stay abroad, but also min 8yrs of team management rooted in Indian culture
- Harmonic mitigation knowledge will be at premium
- Experienced in system integration (eg. Panel design) preferably where VSDs were incorporated will be at premium
- AC high power drives (mega watts/low voltage) application experience will be at premium
- Great communication skills

- High willingness and ability to tackle unknown obstacles

- Project Management Certification (PMI, Prince2 or equivalent)
