PT Bank Syariah Bukopin journey starts from a commercial bank, PT Bank Persyarikatan Indonesia which was acquired by PT Bank Bukopin Tbk to be developed into Islamic banks. Bukopin Islamic Bank started operations by conducting business based on Sharia principles after obtaining permission from Bank Indonesia Sharia operation on October 27, 2008 and on December 11, 2008 has been inaugurated by the Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Full commitment of PT Bank Bukopin Tbk as the majority shareholder is realized by adding a capital injection in order to make the PT Bank Syariah Bukopin as an Islamic bank with the best service.

And on July 10, 2009 through Letter of Approval of Bank Indonesia, Tbk PT Bank Bukopin has transferred rights and obligations of its Sharia into PT Bank Syariah Bukopin.

Principles of Islamic Sharia law is a principle in banking activities (deposit of funds and / or financing of business activities, or other activities) based on the fatwa issued by the National Sharia Council (DSN) who has the authority in determining the fatwa in the field of Shariah.

  • Deposits are investment funds based Akad Akad mudharabah or others who do not contrary to Sharia that withdrawal can only be done at certain times based on Akad between Depositor and Bank Syariah and / or UUS.
  • Savings based on the Giro is Akad Akad wadi'ah or others who do not contrary to Sharia that withdrawal can be done at any time by using checks, demand deposit, other means of payment order, or by command entry.

Distribution Fund (Financing)
Financing is the provision of funds or equivalent claims in the form:
  • Financing is based on the principle of profit sharing in the form of mudaraba and musharaka;
  • Transaction lease in the form of ijara or lease purchase in the form of ijara muntahiya bittamlik;
  • Buying and selling to make profits in the form of murabaha receivables, greetings, and istishna;
  • Transaction lending and borrowing in the form of receivables qardh; and
  • Transaction services lease in the form of ijara for multijasa transactions based on an agreement between Islamic Banking and / or UUS and others who require the party who financed and / or funds given the facility to repay the funds after a certain period in return for ujrah, without compensation, or profit sharing.
