Business Excellence Consultant Job Description
In this position, your duties is to meet business needs through the design and administration of process and performance methodologies to support process owners in achieving targeted business results. And you will be assigned to coordinate several of the global BED responsibilities around governance or strategic planning and execution, such as Project Review Committee (PRC), project governance and project prioritization process.
A Business Excellence Consultant at Caterpillar will serves as the liaison with Corporate Business Risk Management (BRM) and facilitates VP Groups in conducting risk self-assessments by performing interviews or surveys, facilitating meetings and creating risk summarizations. This position must effectively leverages the Baldrige criteria for performance excellence throughout FPD in identifying global opportunities for improvement (OFI) and supporting the work of Strategic Goal Councils to address global OFI’s.
This role is expected to provide support and benchmarking expertise to groups and departments on internal and external benchmarking requests. You will works closely with the Legal department on any confidentiality issues as they relate to sharing practices and information during the benchmarking process. You must be able to review the process periodically for potential improvements and provides ongoing communication to the organization.

Qualifications
To become a Business Excellence Consultant at Caterpillar, the candidates must have minimum 4 years' college or university degree in business or a related field and a minimum of 6 years exempt experience, which includes a minimum of 2 years exempt experience in project management, preferably as a 6 Sigma Black Belt is recommended. The candidates with experience in Financial Services are a plus.
This role requires individual who have advanced knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply math computation skills, including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as statistics, financial analysis, regression analysis and other mathematical concepts used in modeling. If you interested, you also must have advanced knowledge of the design, development and delivery of process and productivity improvement interventions and how to measure the effectiveness of each.
