Engineering Manager (Power Consulting Services)

Jobs Location: Across Singapore

Responsibilities:
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager (Power Consulting Services) to join an innovative international design, project engineering and services consultancy located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Reporting to General Manager, you will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Technical management of power plant conceptual design studies
• Management and preparation of power plant pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
• Management of modeling for the projects
• Manage technical consulting assignments, such as technical due diligence and lenders engineer projects
• Preparation of technical reports for clients and coordinating internal report preparation process
• Business development supporting technical proposal preparation and contract negotiation
• Manage and meet established quality program targets while working within the guidelines of the company Quality Assurance program.
• Manage the execution of multi-discipline detailed engineering and design projects
• Develop and implement detailed strategies and objectives for the project to match and contribute to the corporate strategies and objectives
• Develop performance measurement and monitoring systems to track deliverables, objectives and targets
• Directing multi-discipline FEED design studies
• Preparation and management of design budgets, estimates, forecasts and schedules for all projects
• Assist with technical preparation of EPC proposals and negotiations
• Preparation or review of technical Project Contracts
• Responsible for personal safety safe working practices in accordance with the company defined HSE corporate guidelines

Requirements:

• To be qualified for this position, you shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Economics or any other relevant study in the power sector with a minimum of 20 years professional power sector, 10 years of which in power consulting engineering environment.
• You shall also have proven track record in coal market with significant exposure in Asian market and the ability to motivate staff both upwards and downwards across a matrix organization.
• You will be required to travel for international assignments.

Senior Mechanical Engineer, Package Equipment

Jobs Location: Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:
Our client is a leader in engineering, technologies and project management for the oil and gas industry. They are widely acknowledged to be an expert in subsea infrastructures, offshore platforms and onshore processing facilities. Currently they are seeking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer, Package Equipment for their current and upcoming projects.

Reporting to Lead Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager, you will be responsible

• To perform detailed engineering design for onshore/offshore projects including basic engineering design and calculation reports, equipment pre-selection reports (for Packaged Equipment), technical clarifications and Bid Evaluation Reports, equipment cost estimation/weight estimation.
• Interface with other disciplines, vendor data review/approval/review manufacturer data report (MDR).
• Provide inspection assistance which will include own Technical Analyses of test results and the ability to solve site related issues/support to Site Technical Queries (STQ) and lead/coach/guide young Engineers.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess

• At least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years of Design experience in various package equipment for onshore/offshore application ie/ Process Packages, Utility Packages, Material Handling equipment and Water Treatment/WWT experience.
• Have at least a total of 5 years experience in EPC contracting work including adequate Site and Test Witness experience.
• Thorough knowledge in standards and good engineering practices of international oil companies in addition to international codes such as API, ASME/ANSI, NFPA, NACE, EN and ISO will be preferred.
• Able to perform technical audit/pre-qualification meeting at Vendor’s premises.
• Be able to travel and stationed at various operating centres on needs basis for short – term assignments (around Asia and Australia)
• Knowledge of PDMS/Model review, experience on offshore visits and short-term site or fabrication experience will be desirable.

Responsibilities:
Our client business involves in Engineering and Construction, Marine Repairs and Marine Conversion for the oil and gas industry in Malaysia. Currently, they are seeking for Manager, Project Services for their existing and upcoming projects in the Engineering and Construction Division.

As Manager, Project Services, you will strategize, manage and control the department to ensure work deliverables such as project material management, project manpower allocations, clients and project office set up and final documentations are conducted and completed within budget and on schedule in meeting the company and customer specifications and requirements. You will also strategize and propose annual divisional budget and control work costing to ensure expenditures are within budgeted cost. In addition, you will ensure sub-contracted work meet and abide to the contract terms and conditions.

Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you will possess a Degree in any Engineering disciplines with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
